Dani Bergson…The Early Years
Dani Bergson grew up in North London. As a child, she loved all the Arts and knew that eventually she would pursue a career either performing or painting. She was especially fond of drawing animals and would spend many hours in her back garden sketching the family cats. After completing an Art Foundation at Middlesex University, Dani continued her Art Degree at University in Birmingham.
Print Designer – Wallpapers, fabrics and textiles.
After graduating, Dani Bergson moved to Bournemouth for her first professional job as a Textile Designer at Monkwell Fabrics and gained 2 years useful studio experience. She then moved back to London to secure a position as a print designer for Osborne & Little designing new collections of fabrics and wallpapers.
Artist & Illustrator – Published works
Dani Bergson took the next step of becoming a freelance artist and illustrator to pursue her first love, painting in the year 2000. For the first few years, most of her work was commissioned by large print companies for publication as greeting cards, children’s books, prints, posters, wrapping paper and other surface designs.
Galleries – Original Artwork and Limited Editions
As her popularity as an illustrator grew, Dani had increasing interest from galleries and fine art companies. This growing demand for her original artwork led to the publication of limited edition prints by DeMontfort Fine Art (2004-2005) and Washington Green (2005-2007). Dani Bergson original artwork, contemporary canvases and limited-edition prints have since been displayed for sale in numerous art galleries throughout the UK and abroad.
